From template to fitted surface
A countertop starts with the actual room and selected slab. Final measurements establish wall fit, appliance clearances, overhangs and sink locations. Bring sink and faucet specifications before fabrication begins.
- Confirm cabinets are ready for measurement
- Select material and review the slab pattern
- Approve cutouts, edge profiles and seam locations
Plan seams and large islands
Slab size, transport access, support and the chosen pattern influence whether an island needs a seam. Discuss your full island dimensions and any waterfall panels early. A photograph or small sample cannot establish the final slab layout.
Coordinate cutouts and installation
Undermount sinks, cooktops and faucet holes require accurate product details. Changes after cutting may be limited, so review the final selections before the stone is fabricated.
